Oral Surgery
Oral surgery is one of the less routine services we offer at the office of Robert Hankel, D.D.S. & Chris Ehrbright, D.D.S.
There are a variety of reasons that patients require oral surgery. In many cases, people have teeth that are decayed or damaged beyond repair, and we have to remove the entire tooth. For others, impacted and painful wisdom teeth must come out before they cause damage. Sometimes, patients are coping with an oral disease, and surgery is the best way to help them heal. Yet others are to the point of replacing teeth they have lost or had removed. Whatever the case may be, we can perform the proper procedures here in our office.
It is understandable that patients, especially young children, may feel nervous and even fearful about the potential pain of oral surgery. Rest assured that we are able to offer safe and effective methods of numbing and sedation, so that you might not even remember the process. All of this will be discussed with you beforehand so that you have a sense of what to expect and the options you will have.
Dental implants are a wonderful advancement of oral surgery. The implant actually fuses with your jawbone, making it a permanent part of your mouth. Chewing and talking are as easy as they are with natural teeth. The crown above the gum means that no one be able to tell that the tooth is not natural.
